The weekend is approaching FAST!! Pumpkin Holler will come to life, and hopefully I'll show up without having pulled my remaining hair out. But we have been blessed, as we usually are, with the most amazing volunteers who seemingly jump through hoops to pull off the miraculous. It takes over a hundred volunteers to make an event like this successful. We'll have ten aid stations spread out over the miles and miles of scenic farmland and forest service roads. Ever have waffles four miles into a run? If you are running the 10oM or 25K, you are in for a treat. How about bacon and pancakes. You got it. Quesodilla, potato soup, pizza? TATUR is known for aid stations with good food you would not think of trying on a run, but we'll have the usual staples as well.
The above map is small, and may not print well, but we'll work on a better copy. The maps below are larger and more clear, but are more specific to the course or crew routes.
The full course for the 50K, 100K, and 100 Mile. Notice the black line to the Waffle Stop? That is the out and back the 100 milers get to do before starting their three loops.
This is driving directions for CREW so they can get to Savannah Corner, the first crew access point WITHOUT driving on the actual course. It is good paved roads all the way.
This is driving directions for CREW so they can get to Hard Up Ahead , the second crew access point WITHOUT driving on the actual course. It is good paved roads all the way.
The swag is good.
The shirts are a soft cotton blend--comfy to wear after the race, although I wear mine to run in.
The Hunnerd milers also get fleece jackets.
We do have a few extra shirts, and if you are early to packet pick up, or early to the race Saturday, and if you are patient, and nice, and say please, we can switch sizes if need be.
The supermodel pictured to the right is Kathy Hoover, who finished her 11th 100 miler last week at Heartland. She is m making it two in a row by running the Hunnerd this weekend.
There are awards for each distance:
men's and women's
three deep.
There are no age group awards.
But every finisher will get medals, and the 100 milers will receive belt buckles!!
The antique brass will be what the 25Kers will get.
